Microsoft Announces Price Drop For Xbox Kinect...

Microsoft today announced a permanent price drop on Kinect sensor for Xbox. The new reduced price will be $109.99 in US.



There will be also a permanently reduced price in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions where Kinect is sold. On October 4, the Kinect sensor will be available for a permanently reduced price in Australia and New Zealand.
Microsoft also mentioned that there will be no price drops in EMEA and Japan regions. With the sales of the gaming industry in general is falling down, price drops of this kind should boost sales to some level hop

Xbox Live's Shoot 1UP is in the Market

the Xbox Live for Windows Phone game Shoot 1UP landed in the Marketplace this morning. The vertically scrolling shoot-em up game from Mommy's Best Games and Microsoft Studios made a nice first impression.
unlike other shoot-em up games where you battle the enemy with one ship, Shoot 1UP allows players to build up groups of ships to take on the enemy at the same time. Instead of earning extra lives, you earn extra ships.
Features includes:
  • Command up to thirty ships at the same time
  • Ship formation can be spread out or held tight by touch
  • Weapons upgrades become available as you collect more shops
  • Two game modes: Campaign and Score Tilt

David Catuhe’s Kinect Toolbox 1.2

David Catuhe has updated his Kinect toolbox. The new toolbox introduces several new features. It now includes tools to use kinect as a mouse which is an important update.

Here is a full list of the updates:

New ContextTracker class to help detect unwanted gestures
New EyeTracker class to detect if the user is currently looking at the sensor
Tools to use Kinect as a mouse controller
      MouseController to control the mouse
      Magnetic control to attract the mouse
